Intrigues, confrontations, conspiracies are inherent not only to the royal palaces. In places of deprivation of liberty serious passions flare up. in the mid-forties the criminal world of the Soviet Union is divided into two opposing camps. The so-called "thieves in law", accustomed to living by "concepts" and sacredly reading the criminal laws, entered into a merciless struggle for power with "bitches", criminals who decided to end the criminal past and actively cooperated with the administration of the camps. Many representatives of the thieves' community, having taken up arms, defended their homeland on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. Many, remained faithful to the thieves' laws and did not respond to the call, having chosen prison bunks. But the war was over and the "bitches" tried to regain their position in the underworld.
